Absolutely. In a dealership, each department is operated independently, and
even
though you fattened the pockets of the sales department and parts department,
the service department will feel no obligation to give you anything for free,
unless
you convince the sales or parts department to pay service to do it.
It's no different from bringing in parts you bought at a discount website and
asking them to put -them- on for free.

Fortunately for you, you don't have to deal with this sales department anymore,
now that you
own the bike. Now you just have to find a good service department.

good luck!
