The low rider guard had to be different because the fork tubes were a different
length
and the fender would hit the guard if you put the fxds one on the low rider.
The FXDS has the longer fork tubes, so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't
work.

I'd still yank the fork springs out after mounting it, push the front end all
the way up and
double check clearances.
