You almost answered your own question.
the 26 is keyed, the 26A is splined. No changes ramp wise.
You can use the 26 with the andrews gear and roller bearing, or
you can use the 26A with the splined HD gear and HD roller bearing.
Makes no difference, except buying the gear.
