Look up Darien model pants. I'm just breaking in a pair of mine.
They aren't terribly warm in cold weather, but they are very good in
water. Knee armor with some trick foam that's soft and hardens up
when impacted. Options for map pockets and custom fitting is
available (I went to Duluth and they measured me up, and made
them to fit -me- on -my- bike.)
I'm quite happy with them.
