I had to wear a brace when I was riding my XLS for any length of time. A
few hundred miles a day would
put me off riding for a week. I did place 1 inch spacers under the
risers to place the drag bars higher.
The mid controls I expect to be far better than forward controls when
combined with drag bars.
Maybe find a chiropractor for 'skeletal tuning session' on your bike.
My eventual solution was to trade up to an FLHT.
