The mixture screw is your friend, once you master it.

The general idea is to first adjust it however and wherever you need to get the
highest
idle RPM, then adjust the idle speed back to 950 or so. Then turn the screw in
-very- slowly
until you hear the idle speed start to drop, then back it out just enough to
pick that rpm back
up to where it was. That's it, you're done.
