It's nature of the beast when you have a common crankpin V-twin sharing one
carburetor.
It has to do with the difference in dwell time between the front and rear
intake, and rear to front
intake cycle. The rear cylinder gets a richer mixture. Only solution is to
modify the heads so
the rear head flows more, or angle the manifold to the carb has a straight
shot to the front
cylinder but has to turn for the rear. Or you could always go with two
separate carbs.
