Pre-ride check is only to verify that there -is- oil on the dipsitck
somewhere.
Level is not really important at that point.
The hot level checked on the sidestand is what is important.
Now quit picking your bike apart and go ride it.
oh, FWIW, anything with the oil tank under the transmission gets checked on
the
sidestand, anything with the oil tank above the trans gets checked standing
up.
Don't ask, I don't build them, I just fix them.
