If there was fluid gasoline laying in the cylinder when you cranked it, and
since liquid won't compress, it may have caused an excessively high
pressure
when the piston came to the top. I've seen this bend connecting rods, as
well
as blow head gaskets. Look carefully at the piston wear patterns.
