Two weeks? Damn. I hope you have those two weeks off work to ride the crap
out of the bike and break it in properly ;^)

Major carb work? As long as changing a few jets and shimming the needle up
isn't major in your book, you're safe.

Thunderheader vs Pythons? Both are rather loud at idle and hard throttle,
but the T header is a deeper tone, kinda goes right through your chest like
standing
too close to the stage an an Aerosmith concert. The pythons have more of a
raspy tone
to them. A bit irritating IMO.

Pythons are really prone to breaking mount plates and cracked brackets, and the
bracket between the mufflers is damn huge and ugly.
The thunderheader will turn all sorts of pretty colors, it's the nature of the
pipe, as it's
designed to be efficient at mid to top end. At lower speeds, it traps heat in
the collector
and discolors. They are available in ceramic black (like mine) for this very
reason.

Personally my vote is for the T-header, but I'm not you.
