I've seen a few of these.
My machinist has become pretty adept at heli-arcing and
recutting the oring
groove with amazing accuracy.
Fairly inexpensively too.

Of course, you'd have to send the case half to him, stripped.
But what the heck, you've almost got the engine out...

I did have one customer faced with this one take his bike to a
welder and weld
it in place, then cut the groove by hand with a dremel, no
guarantees there.

JB and silicone is always an option, the cracked section is not
responsible for much
besides positioning the o-ring. I've seen flat fiber gaskets
for this as well.

Lots of solutions. Only ? is who's paying. I'd say that took a
severe hit to
cause that damage. Hit the insurance up for it, see what
happens.
