They are both good carbs, no doubt.
The CV will offer you some self compensating effect for altitude, and it IS
a lot quieter than the flatslide at idle.
FWIW, I'd rather plug on a 44mm CV to an intake manifold that's designed to
work with it, than plugging a 42 to 45 mm carb into an intake designed for a
40 mm carb.
I think the intake setup of the CV (SE high flo) is a lot cleaner than the
mikuni.
