The latest version of the rocker box fiber gaskets have been holding up well.
the problem with this particular area is the relative movement between the
rocker
box and the head. One side of the gasket has the rubber strip, and is intended
to
slide, but when both sides slide, then the gasket can slip out of the interface.
Earlier gaskets had a tendency to get brittle, split down the center, and the
pieces
would creep out.
It should last for a few years, at least until the base gaskets blow out anyway.
