They're not that complicated.
Follow the power from the flasher unit, to the handlebar switch, then back to
the
headlamp housing where it splits, then to each signal lamp.
You can also supply power to the rear lamp socket and see if the front lights
up.
That will eliminate the wiring after the split.

The first question, do the signals light up and not flash, or do they not light
up at all,
or does just one of them light up?

For the rest of the thread, I quizzed a high school student about driver's ed,
he said that
hand signals were never discussed in the course.
