I've never considered isolating the wiring between the bike and trailer.
The whole point is to 'connect' it, not 'isolate' it.
You have a connector inside the frame box, where the harness enters the rear
fender.
You can pick up the correct connectors and make up a splitter harness to tap off

the factory wiring, if you like to have it removable.

I do understand the isolation thing, I wrenched on tow trucks in a previous
life, and
they all had the 'drag lights' (magnetic base lights) for cars on the stinger
(towing behind the tow-truck) They would frequently fall off the car and the
wiring would get shredded, and
ground out the truck and all, blowing breakers and such.
I finally got smart, and made up a box with a relay and separate circuit breaker
for each
drag light function, and the truck electrics only actuated the relay, so it was
safe when the
drag lights got trashed, the truck's lights wouldn't be affected.
I don't see this as being necessary on a bike/trailer combo.
