Actually, HD created the forward control kit for the sporty around '88 ish, then
dropped it
for whatever reason, and Custom Chrome blueprinted it and started producing it.
They did the same thing for the Nacelle kit for the Heritage/Fatboy bikes.
HD's new one is a huge improvement, more ergonomic in that the footpeg mounts
-are- the pivot shafts for the shifter and brake.
Oh added bonus, the bushings and service parts are all regular parts available
at the dealer.
(nothing as bad as having the bike down waiting for a special order Ness part)
