Torquing the main stud nuts on the evo softail floorboards requires the use of a

'dogbone' torque adapter, extension and a torque wrench. The bike needs to be
on the ground and loaded to get the swingarm to clear the nut for the dogbone.
orient the dogbone to 90 degrees from the torque wrench, and the torque setting
will not be significantly impacted.

BTW, the crew that writes the instruction sheets must not have any idea what a
motorcycle is, let alone how to assemble one.
